Attic fire seriously damages home
Oxnard fire officials said an attic fire Saturday afternoon in a vacant single-family home in the 4900 block of Alexander Drive caused $8,000 to $10,000 worth of damage.
Battalion Chief Darwin Base said there were no injuries, and the fire did not affect surrounding properties.
Base said the cause of the attic fire was electrical in nature.
